2025, A year with great school successes!

Meanwhile, we have entered a new year and what an innovative year of study 2025 was. From SG Bonaire to the ROC Mondriaan in The Hague, a great time to look back on all the sustainable developments of the past year.

2025 was also the year in which Ecoplant was chosen out of more than twenty-five thousand companies as the most innovative company in the Netherlands.

This year was literally brimming with innovation and we worked with students from Cibap Zwolle and Windesheim on the BEE Hive, a modular bicycle charging point designed specifically for electric bicycles in the schoolyard. This solution focuses on safe charging and of course no fire hazard. The design was created in collaboration with students from the Zwolle schools Windesheim College, Cibap and Artez, with Pier Wieringa (HBO Windesheim) continuing the project during his internship next year. Next spring, further development by student teams from Graafschap College in Doetichem will be completed

In August 2025, we launched a teaching program in which students work on a current and socially relevant theme: sustainable energy. They research how solar energy works, learn about the technology and invent their own applications in their immediate environment. Together with the curriculum we launched the Junior Solar, a small Eco-plant that you can build yourself which really turns with the sun and even turns on a light!
